    Reporting to the Director, Health System Performance, Funding, Contract Management & Relations, the Manager, Funding and Allocation is responsible for collaborating with the Manager of Accountability Agreements and Contract Management, the Manager of Decision Support, Performance and System Flow, Finance and the Directors of Planning and Integration to plan, implement and allocate funding to health service providers  and organizations in keeping with the priorities of the Central West LHIN and in compliance with provincial and local directives and policies. Integral to this role is supporting the development and implementation of a performance management accountability framework and monitoring achievement of funding and delivery targets of Health Service Providers (HSP) and Service Provider Organizations (SPO).


    The Manager of Funding and Allocation will be accountable for creating a community of practice and develop expertise in provincial funding models and be the LHIN liaison for Ministry/provider relations associated with this position. The incumbent will achieve this mandate by engaging stakeholders, utilization of evidence-based practices, and effective teamwork skills.       




    • Post-secondary or Master’s degree in business administration, finance, health administration, or relevant field.
    • Professional accounting designation, CPA highly desired.
    • A minimum of 3-5 years of management and leadership experience in a health care environment and Ontario hospital combined with decision support experience.
    • Demonstrated experience and the ability to identify and manage risk
    • In depth knowledge of the Ontario health system and of the Central West LHIN within the context of the larger health system.
    • Thorough understanding of provincial health care funding models.
    • Familiarity with government financial processes, policies and standards.
    • Proven track record of successfully performing at a management level within relevant areas of focus.
    • Leader with strong business acumen who can carry out the strategic vision for funding and allocation and performance management.
    • Evidence of strong leadership, initiative, creativity, and integrity.
    • Strong communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills as well as evidence of ability to promote and maintain interpersonal relationships and strategic partnerships.
    • Skilled in managing interprofessional teams and bringing together staff functions to accomplish objectives.
    • Skilled in managing multiple, complex projects
    • Strong writing skills
    • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
    • Strong computer and computer application skills, developing reports and spreadsheets
