    We are currently recruiting a Home & Community Care Administrative Assistant Student Intern

    Primary assigned location:   2655 North Sheridan Way, Mississauga





    Provides office, clerical and administrative support to the Home & Community Care Team, including but not limited to:

      • Policy and Procedure refresh to the new LHIN template and brand
      • Portfolio intranet fresh to the new LHIN templates and brand
      • Assistance with the preparation and maintenance of reports, compliance reports, etc.
      • Maintenance of intranet content using SharePoint
      • Support of meeting and event set-up through room bookings, room set-up, preparation of meeting packages
      • Provides back-up support to other administrative positions as required
      • Performs other duties as required



    The successful candidate will have:

    • Enrolled in a post-secondary program, preferably in a Business Administration or Health Care related field and must be returning to school full-time in September 2018
    • Familiarity with office administrative procedures and concepts
    • Demonstrated proficiency in database software and Microsoft Office with exceptional Excel skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills with minimal supervision
    • Advanced multitasking skills
    • Solid interpersonal skills including the ability to function as a part of a team and interact with different cultures with tact and diplomacy
    • Knowledge of Mississauga Halton LHIN services would be an asset
    • Ability to communicate in French or other languages an asset
