    Director, Health System Performance, Funding, Contract Management and Relations

    Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Services, Accountability and Quality, the Director, Health System Performance, Funding, Contract Management and Relations is responsible for planning, negotiating, implementing and monitoring health service provider (HSP) performance accountability agreements and service provider organization (SPO) contracts. Integral to this role is the design and implementation of a Central West LHIN integrated performance management framework. The role will also require the Director to be accountable for establishing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on the allocation of Central West LHIN Ministry LHIN Accountability (MLAA) Funding while ensuring compliance with local and provincial polices and directives. This will be accomplished in collaboration with the Planning and Integration team and in support of the Director of Finance who has responsibility for overall MLAA funding reconciliation. The role also includes ongoing design, implementation and monitoring of the request for proposal (RFP) process and for negotiating, administering and monitoring the resulting contracts and strategic alliances for all contracted services purchased by the LHIN.

    As an ideal candidate;


    • You bring a track record of success as a healthcare leader, with at least 8 - 10 years’ experience in contract administration and industrial relations with at least 3 years at a senior management level with demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity.
    • You need to have a Master’s degree in Health Administration, Business or related discipline preferred or equivalent management training and experience. Additionally, Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC), Certified Professional Purchasing Designation (CPP) designation, desired.
    • If you have completed negotiation training / courses and/ or Certification in Conflict /Alternative Dispute Resolution, is an asset.
    • You need to have demonstrated understanding of and success with budgeting, financial monitoring and statistical and financial analysis and previous knowledge of applicable funding processes and the associated directives and polices that must be complied with.
    • You have a thorough Knowledge of direct care/service delivery models utilized in a community setting.
    • You are a leader with strong business acumen who can develop and achieve the strategic vision for Central West LHIN health system performance, funding allocations and contract / accountability agreement management (HSP and SPO) in consideration of Patient’s First and sub-regions.
    • You need to have evidence of experience in the successful development, implementation and monitoring of performance accountability initiatives.
    • You are a strong collaborator to promote a systems approach that provides a seamless approach.
    • You are a superior relationship builder with outstanding communication skills.
    • You possess demonstrated experience in effectively leading change.
    • You pride yourself of your business management skills, especially your financial acumen.
